CCTV and Alarm Installation Pacific Pines

20150528092139053 - CCTV and Alarm Installation Pacific Pines

4MP Dome Camera

A local football club in Pacific Pines, Gold Coast was fortunate to secure some Government grants to update and expand their existing infrastructure and facilities.

Part of this upgrade included a replacement of their old stand-alone, analogue and low functionality alarm and CCTV systems with new digital equipment that allowed remote alerting and monitoring.

The growing club needs to protect its grounds and facilities, including change rooms and grounds keeping equipment of considerable value, against vandalism and theft.  Most importantly, they want to protect both players and visitors at the venue and capture any incident that may occur.  The club now has a liquor licence, hence a bar and lounge facilities, so cameras were also required inside in the bar and patron area to monitor and protect visitors, staff and the money till.

Unfortunately the old coax could not be re-used for this installation, however, AAVINET Security easily cabled new Ethernet (cat 6).  The installation replaced the 5 existing low resolution, analogue cameras with 3 Hikvision 4MegaPixel Super High Definition Digital cameras and added 5 Super HD Digital cameras to expand coverage to the facilities that house the grounds keeping equipment, bar, change rooms and canteen.

AAVINET Security also installed a Risco LightSYS alarm and reduced costs by reusing some cable from the old alarm system.  The new alarm has remote access and is now set to immediately notify club representatives instead of the previous costly and delay prone process of back-to-base monitoring.

The club also required game viewing functionality, so AAVINET Security installed a Darkfighter CCTV camera on the roof to allow transmitting of games.  The Darkfighter has impressive zoom capabilities, and its direct HDMI output connects to a large television in the bar/patron area, allowing patrons to view the game from this area of the club.  These cameras do not require infrared to be able to see at night time and they can also compensate for light, even when the field is under full floodlights for a game.  This makes the Darkfighter camera perfect for both day and night games.

The ground has a massive open area, so these cameras, which are capable of seeing distances up to 100 metres, realistically have 10,000 square metres of boundary coverage around the club facilities.

AAVINET was commissioned after build stage, so cabling was done retrospectively.  This added to the complexity however due to the technical expertise of our installers, this was still completed with a professional finish.  The result was a very happy customer.
